OUR STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

My Daughter Your Daughter (MDYD) Inc., a 501 (c) (3) pending Non-Profit Charity Organization, was Founded on July 17, 2014 as an Online community group that would later evolve into a grassroots organization in poignant response to the #BringBackOurGirls campaign that touched hearts worldwide, with many expecting a swift resolution to an impasse that appeared to defy rectification. However, as, a year later, release of the hapless girls started to occur, but only in piecemeal fashion, 

My Daughter Your Daughter (MDYD) Founder and World Peace Federation Ambassador, Rev. Dr. Prince A.Z.K. Adekoya, II., resolved to assume a more vocal stance on the entire distressing episode. After successfully networking with several advocates, politicians and educators, MDYD was officially inaugurated on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Backed by the dual philosophy that there is strength in numbers, and authentic proactivity in firm and unyielding human resolve, the overarching goal was to collaborate with, and support committed organizations and changemakers globally to address the ugly trend in organized and orchestrated violence against young women, and the concomitant assault on their rights and privileges. Currently, MDYD is 

seeking Active Organization Personnel and credible volunteers in a mission to help liberate, empower and shape the future, on the global turf, of our young women between the ages of thirteen and twenty-five, who have fallen victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse, sex trade, forced labor and deprivation of education.

OUR GOAL ON FEB. 23, 2019, IN NYC: To give a NO string attached monetary scholarship award of $2,000.00 to minimum of five and maximum of six females between age thirteen and twenty-five in the area of: Academics; Art & Culture; and Community Service. 

OUR VISION

To ultimately aim at restoring the crown of feminine glory, through the harnessing of the concerted effort of all well-meaning individuals and organizations, such that young women can be enduringly empowered to take their rightful place in the continuing evolution of mankind.

OUR MISSION

The mission of my daughter your daughter is to give a voice to the voiceless. United we can rescue our girls that have fallen victims to abuse, sex trade, forced labor and deprivation of education. Alternatively, we can empower young women with the crown of glory they deserve. "My Daughter 'Your Daughter" works tireless for a greater tomorrow, because our daughters are our future.

OUR METHODOLGY

1. We will encourage fundamental girl- child protection and academic awareness and advancement by providing scholarship awards in the arts, sciences, vocational pursuits and community services. 

2. We will encourage a global collective effort on the part of parents in support of the work of MDYD and other stakeholders to achieve the objective of liberating our daughters from all forms of abuse. 

3. We will infuse a ray of hope into the collective consciousness of our young women that we genuinely care about them, and that we  will support them, fight for them, protect them, and empower them by providing monetary scholarship awards towards their education, and will formulate and facilitate partnerships with credible organization that will help with sustainable awareness programs that will both challenge and defeat the threat of  their oppression and victimization.

OUR PLEA/CALL TO ACTION

I am secure in the belief that you will all concede that the success of the mission of My Daughter Your Daughter (MDYD) lies in the hands of quality and dynamic participants, volunteers, and philanthropists who will collectively strive for the achievement of our joint objectives to liberate our daughters from the shackles of organized oppression and victimization.

In the light of this fact, I respectfully call on all parents, foster parents, guardians, community leaders, politicians, educators, religious leaders, ngo’s, professionals, friends and well-wishers to be a part of this noble initiative. 

The core values of MDYD are entrenched in diversity, acceptance and mutual respect. 

These values also acknowledge the lucid understanding that we are all unique, and created equally in the image of God, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, physical ability, religious conviction and political ideology. It is for these reasons that I sincerely thank those who honored the invitation to attend the inauguration ceremony of MDYD of February 2, 2017, thereby identifying with a movement whose time is undeniably imminent. For those who are still to identify with this laudable initiative, the challenge is simply to think of My Daughter Your Daughter as the way forward for a better future for our daughters, the emancipation of our future leaders, and the sustainability of the human integrity of our planet.
